Divine delays occur when the desire of a person’s heart is withheld for a period of time, and it will only be released at God’s appointed time.
In a world of fast-food meals, high-speed Internet, and quick solutions, waiting is tough. Sometimes, if we don’t get a quick answer to our problems and pressures—wanting a child, a mate, healing, a new job, or even a more fulfilling spiritual life–we feel stuck. Where is God? Has he forgotten us? No, God has not forgotten! Continue to draw near to him. You may be caught in a “divine delay,” a time of waiting that holds a purpose and God's promises. MEET MARLINDA
I am passionate about the scriptures and the transformative power of the Christian faith. Delving into the sacred pages of the Bible brings me immense joy, and sharing its profound narratives is an amazing privilege. The Bible, to me, is the greatest story ever written, ever told, and ever lived.
I have had the great privilege of sharing God's Word for years – at different churches, Christian schools, Bible colleges, non-profits, seminaries, women's and leadership conferences, and with people in different life stages. But you know where my heart's at? The local church. David and I planted Christ Church more than 25 years ago, and it's been an amazing ride.
I wear a couple of hats – Worship Director, overseeing worship and arts, and I'm on the teaching team leading our Women's Gatherings. Whether it's directing, writing, coaching, discipleleing, or just enjoying life, I aim to be intentional – with a good dose of laughter, of course.
Partnering with David, a leader with crazy vision, makes this way of life pretty amazing. It's a mix of intentional moves and spontaneous left turns but I do my best to hold on and embrace the journey. Your life is probably similar. So, let's love the ride together!
